AKC FIT DOG CLUB

Walk Together. Stay Active. Have Fun.

MCKC Fit Dog walks are a friendly way to enjoy time outdoors with your dog, meet other dog people, and support healthy activity for both ends of the leash.

A simple way to keep dogs and people moving.

The AKC FIT DOG program encourages regular physical activity for dogs and their people. Whether you are walking a neighborhood loop, hiking a trail, joining a club walk, or working toward an AKC FIT DOG title, the goal is simple: move more, connect more, and enjoy your dog.

Moore County Kennel Club hosts casual Fit Dog walks throughout the year. These walks are open to everyone, and you do not need to be a club member to participate.

Good to Know

Dogs should be comfortable walking on leash around other dogs and people. Please bring water, waste bags, and weather-appropriate gear for you and your dog.

Low pressure. High reward.

Meet Local Dog People

Fit Dog walks are a relaxed way to meet MCKC members, ask questions, and learn more about the club without the pressure of a formal event.

Support Healthy Habits

Regular walking helps dogs and handlers build fitness, confidence, and routine. It is one of the easiest ways to stay active together.

Work Toward AKC Goals

If you are interested in AKC FIT DOG titles, club walks may help support your progress. You can also document qualifying activity on your own.
