Ellen had been unable to repair an issue with the website on her own. So she contacted Go Daddy (provider) and asked for help. They provided a service to fix the issue (which had to do with the Club’s Membership Form).

FUN COMMITTEE:

The Club will not be having a regular July Meeting, so we’re asking the committee to schedule their first event possibly in July. If The Fun Committee is able to come up with a date and plan for July by June 27, it can be included in the Barker

DOG SHOW IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTIONS:

The floor was opened for Members to suggest ways to improve our dog show.

Pee Wee Competition – We will need a volunteer to chair/judge this by January 15, 2023

Fast Cat – This is an ongoing discussion.

Pine Straw Advertisement – The Board would need to approve the expense by December 31, 2022, and the ad creative would need to be submitted by January 2023.

(DOG SHOW SUGGESTIONS CONTD)

Posters – This year we didn’t do posters. Some club Members feel that a more targeted approach with them would be useful. If we print enough for Grooming Shops and Veterinary Offices, we can minimize the waste associated. To accomplish, a volunteer will need to count the list of Grooming Shops and Veterinary Offices, order the correct number of posters, and then distribute them. A Volunteer would need to get started by March 15.

Continue Booth at Springfest

Aberdeen Dog Fair Booth (focus on Purpose Bred Dogs and AKC Dog Sports that can be done with purebred and mixed breed dogs) – Occurs in early April. This will require a chair and committee with a solid plan by February.

New Grooming Aprons

Bonus this year to Pet Responsibility Committee because they were so helpful. Board will discuss. Betty will contact them to see if there is a need.

NEW BUSINESS:

NO JULY MEETING. Next regular meeting will be in August.

Walthour Moss Foundation Fun Match. Carol Dowd Kamalbake judged the event, which drew 25 Juniors. It was a great event, and our club should consider doing more for Juniors.

MEETING RSVP’s. From here on, the club will be asking membership to RSVP for club meetings out of respect for the restaurant and their staffing needs.

Education. Some Members have expressed an interest in Breed Education program. Anyone interested in joining this committee should contact a Board Member. The committee if approved, would be tasked with coming up with a viable and specific plan — an objective and methodology (how, what, where).to present to the Club.
