Moore County Kennel Club is contemplating starting our own Fast CAT and CAT program.
Fast CAT® – which stands for Coursing Ability Test – is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure. It’s over before you know it — and it’s nothing short of awe-inspiring to watch your dog run at top speed, ears back, eyes focused, legs strong.
It is a relatively new sport, but it became super popular super quickly. The board agreed that a lot of our Members are participants already. And it is an entry way to introduce newbies to the Club.
We have already been approved for a Fast CAT Trial. We’re currently looking at dates for February 2024. More information to come.
